EMDR Therapy

🌿 EMDR Therapy (Standard Ongoing Work)

You’ve done the thinking.
Now your nervous system needs to catch up.

You might understand your patterns…
why you overthink, shut down, overgive, or feel stuck in anxiety.
And yet—your body still reacts like it’s happening now.

That’s where EMDR therapy comes in.

EMDR helps your brain and body reprocess experiences that feel “stuck”—so they no longer carry the same emotional charge, intensity, or looping thoughts.

As a certified EMDR therapist, I integrate this powerful, research-backed approach with creative and experiential techniques to support deep, lasting change.

What EMDR Can Help With:

  • Anxiety (including overthinking, social anxiety, and perfectionism)
  • Relationship patterns and attachment wounds
  • Trauma (big or small—your experience matters)
  • Feeling “on edge,” shut down, or emotionally overwhelmed
  • Negative core beliefs (“I’m not enough,” “I’m too much,” “I can’t trust myself”)

How It Works (In Real Life Terms)

Instead of just talking about your experiences, EMDR helps your brain:

  • Process them fully
  • Update outdated beliefs
  • Reduce emotional intensity
  • Create a felt sense of resolution

You’re not erasing memories.
You’re changing how they live inside you.

A Creative, Personalized Approach

Your work with me may include:

  • Visual mapping of experiences and patterns
  • Metaphor-based processing (think: containers, parts, storylines)
  • Integration of art, music, and even D&D-style narrative work
  • Parts work (protectors, younger selves, internal roles)

Because healing isn’t one-size-fits-all—and insight alone isn’t enough.

This Might Be a Good Fit If:

  • You’re reflective and want to go deeper—not just cope
  • You notice patterns but can’t seem to shift them
  • You’re ready to feel different, not just understand more
  • You want a therapy experience that is both structured and creative

EMDR Intensives

For when you’re ready to move through something—
not just circle it.

EMDR Intensives are extended therapy sessions designed to help you process more deeply, more efficiently, and with real momentum.

Instead of stopping just as things open up (like in weekly therapy), we stay with the work—allowing your brain to fully move through it.

What Is an Intensive?

A focused block of time (typically 2–6 hours) where we:

  • Prepare your nervous system and internal supports
  • Target specific memories, triggers, or patterns
  • Use EMDR to process and shift them in real time
  • Integrate the work so you leave feeling grounded and clear

Why Choose an Intensive?

Intensives can help you:

  • Make months of progress in a shorter period of time
  • Stay in the “processing zone” without interruption
  • Reduce avoidance and overthinking cycles
  • Create meaningful shifts in how you feel day-to-day

Ideal For:

  • Specific memories or experiences you’re ready to process
  • Anxiety patterns that feel stuck despite insight
  • Life transitions, breakups, or identity shifts
  • Clients who want depth + efficiency
  • Busy professionals who prefer focused work over weekly sessions

Your Intensive Experience Includes:

  • A customized treatment plan
  • Creative and experiential supports (visuals, metaphor, parts work)
  • Optional integration tools (journaling prompts, visuals, etc.)
  • A pace that honors both depth and nervous system safety

A Different Kind of Therapy Experience

This isn’t about pushing through.
It’s about finally allowing your brain to complete what it couldn’t before.

A Note on Readiness

You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from this work.
In fact, many of my clients are thoughtful, insightful, and functioning well—
they just know something deeper is ready to shift.
